Great news about John Doe's from Washington

Here is great news for us all. The Senate had taken out of the bill that is supposed to protect those who report suspicious behavior the protection from being sued. While in Conference, some people really stood up for America. See, what the Senate wanted to do was allow us to be sued by CAIR or any individual if they were acting suspicious, we reported it, but they turned out to be no threat. (How do they tell?) Can you say, "Dry run"?

This legislation was brought about by the Flying Imams (6 of them) in Denver who were reported as acting suspiciously before and while they were on the flight. They were removed from the plane, and now they want to sue us. Hence the term, John Doe's. They want to sue the people who reported them as a way of shutting up the public so the next time, they will no problems committing their heinous acts.

A person could lose their entire life savings by reporting such a person, but the Democrats did not care. They wanted to please their base; the trial lawyers. We've won this far. Keep the pressure on them by calling toll free: 1-866-340-9281. Thank you.

VICTORY! CONFEREES AGREE TO PROTECT ‘JOHN DOES’– AND ALL CIVIC MINDED AMERICANS – FROM C.A.I.R. ET. AL.’S HARASSMENT LAWSUITS


(Washington, D.C.): The Center for Security Policy is gratified that its efforts, those of innumerable bloggers, radio talk show hosts and other public-minded citizens translated into an important legislative victory late last night. Thanks to the leadership of Sens. Joe Lieberman and Susan Collins, the chairman and ranking minority member, respectively, of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and especially that of Rep. Pete King, Sen. Collins’ counterpart on the House Homeland Security Committee, legislation along the lines of that adopted by an overwhelming bipartisan majority of the House of Representatives last May at Rep. King’s initiative will shortly become law.

The language will provide protection against the sorts of harassment lawsuits filed by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) after several unidentified individuals reported six Muslim imams engaged in suspicious – and frightening – behavior prior to boarding a USAir flight in November 2006. CAIR has been identified as a front organization for the Muslim Brotherhood and is an un-indicted co-conspirator in an alleged terrorism-financing plot.

Center President Frank Gaffney said on learning of this extraordinary development:

Thanks to courageous, principled and tenacious efforts by key legislators like Rep. King and Sens. Lieberman and Collins, the American people are going to be free to do their part in the War for the Free World – serving as indispensable eyes and ears for those trying to protect us against terrorism – without fear that the likes of CAIR will be suing them for doing so.

We are extremely grateful to these lawmakers and also to members of the Democratic leadership who opposed such efforts, but eventually relented in the face of an outpouring of public demands that the King amendment be enacted into law. We are even more appreciative of the efforts made by all those who helped alert the public to the need to engage so directly and, ultimately, so decisively.

Thank God for such Americans as these!

Your Voice needs to be heard today! You've seen the news today. General Petraeus presented to the President his PRELIMINARY Report. The congressional leadership are referring to it as done/final and are again discussing legislation aimed at undermining our Troops while they are in harms way - protecting us! They are discussing bringing them home - before they complete their mission.

They are discussing ways to weaken our country by weakening our military - tying their hands when they've been asked to do a job that they are succeeding at! The surge is finally at it's full strength and some leaders are saying it has failed - without ever giving it a chance to succeed! I don't know about you but this feels like they are aiding the enemy! In fact - this is exactly what the enemy wants!

Is that what you want? Is that the future you want for your children and grandchildren? Is that what your son/daughter/spouse/mom/dad/neighbor fought for? In Iraq ... Afghanistan ... Vietnam ... Korea ... WWII?

I didn't think so. Now - today is the day to do something about it. Please take a few moments today to email or call your congressional leaders and let them know where you stand and that you need them to work and speak out for victory in Iraq, that you expect them to provide the Troops with the funds they need to be successful on the war on terror, and they need to start standing United for a Strong America! Finally, Congressman Jefferson was indicted today

Many of us have been wondering for over two years now what was happening, if anything, with the Jefferson case. You do remember that dude that had $90,000 in his refrigerator? He has been indicted by the federal government for having "received more than $500,000 in bribes and sought millions more in nearly a dozen separate schemes to enrich himself by using his office to broker business deals in Africa, according to a federal indictment Monday." Just in case any of you wondering why I usually copy the news stories that I link to, I do it because I have had too many problems linking to an article and it disappears. I do not like that. At the place where I send you is a page I have created simply to solve this problem. Over there, you will find the link to the article, if it works at all by the time you get there! lol. Hey, just because they may not be credible, at least you will still be able to read their articles.

Ah, I noticed that, too. Why would I use their news articles if they were not credible? What I meant was that they move their articles. Not that the news wasn't credible sometimes. God! I can't help myself! LOL.

Speaking of illegal aliens...

Has the world gone mad or am I the only one left in the world (besides the 2/3rds of Americans who agree with me) that understand the meaning of the word: Illegal?

Illegal alien: a person who has enter a country without permission, an invader.

The Constitution of the United States specifically states:

Article IV.

Section. 4. The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic violence.

I just thought maybe the congress might want to take a looksie at this. It just so happens that it is not racist to demand our elected officials fulfill their obligations under the full faith and trust of the CITIZENS of these here United States of America.

If you will just take a look around yourself, we have been blessed with people from all over the world. To call us racist is to show how truly ignorant you are. No, we are not elitists like the Congress. I swear, I hope that each one of you who votes for this amnesty bill gets thrown out of office the next time you are up for reelection. You disgust me.

Update: Does anyone really believe that if we had an Army of over 20 million Soldiers that Iran would continue to spit in our face?

This first story is one that really touched my heart. You guys rock!

CJTF-HOA members donate time, supplies and compassion to orphanage.

DJIBOUTI CITY, Djibouti – Nestled in a remote and unassuming part of the city, a local Djibouti City orphanage awaits the arrival of members from Camp Lemonier. The children who live at the orphanage are in need of supplies, donations, and most important of all…love and affection.

Prior to the group’s departure from the base chapel, the seven volunteers made up of U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Marines, made last-minute preparations for their trip to the orphanage by loading up supplies. The supplies were donated by both camp members and from a Marine master sergeant’s hometown friends who organized a donation drive to provide the children with gifts of goodwill and compassion. Next we have a successful story of a province by the name of Maysan, albeit it does not come without setbacks and hardships.

U.S. Central Command Public Affairs.

Security authority for Maysan province was recently transferred to provincial Iraqi government. The province was the fourth to do this, and marks a milestone of 75 percent of Southeast Iraq as being transferred to provincial Iraqi control. The province had previously been under the authority of the U.K. military.

The Maysan Provincial Reconstruction Team has worked behind the scenes in all this. Not only do they work closely with Maysan officials to create and strengthen transparent and accountable government institutions, but they also advise Iraqis on promoting development in the political and economic areas, and work to help improve essential services. Dhi Qar PRT successes showing through.

Security authority for Dhi Qar has been under Provincial Iraqi Control for almost six months now, and many successes in the province are starting to show through.

The Iraqis who live in Dhi Qar province are now finding opportunities they never had under Saddam. The Provincial Reconstruction Team, which was set up last year, has been acting as advisers to the Iraqis, helping them determine which steps will best suit them to get Iraq to stand up on its own. To accomplish that goal, the PRT has been working with many different groups in the area, from U.S. and Coalition military to foreign civilian and Iraqi nationals. [Continue reading.]

This province has been in control of themselves ever since July 2006! Wait a minute. I thought they were not standing up? Yeah, maybe those 'reporters' ought to go out there and REPORT!

...Muthanna became the first Iraqi province to take the lead on governing its own province. This step allowed the provincial police and Iraqi Army to be the first responders’ to any crisis in the province. A Man with Insight and Foresight

I was absolutely disgusted by the comments made by Sen Reid (D). When I read his comments in the Stars and Stripes newspaper, I was enraged. How can someone with his position and power openly undermine the war efforts and what I am doing. For many in the states, it may be a simple little issue of him saying we have already lost. Unfortunately, the insurgency took this as a HUGE propaganda victory. Simply look at the latest news reports from Al-Qaida's number 2, al-Zawahri. To think Al-Qaida wasn't ecstatic to hear this kind of rubbish coming out of our Congress is absolutely absurd. [Continue reading.]

Crotchety Old Bastard has written a scathing, accurate, and concise post which you really should go read. Here is a teaser:

If Senator Reid, based on the information that the Senate Majority Leader has, has determined that this war is lost; there is nothing left to do but come home. The way I see it, if you were to vote for anything less; you would be personally liable for any future wounded or God-Forbid dead soldiers.

Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald: RIP

Rep. Millender-McDonald has filled many offices which allowed her to serve our country, and today she has finally gone home to her reward. She is 68 years old.

She died of cancer, as did Rep. Norwood earlier this year. I suppose I should mention that Juanita was a Democrat, and Charles Norwood was a Republican. We do not know what type of cancer, and I was not even aware she was ill.

Ya see, she was my Congresswoman. While we were on different sides of the aisle, she was always courteous and active. For a Democrat, she was a great lady. May you rest in peace, and may God comfort all of those who have been left to carry on. God bless you all.

Open letter to Reid by LT Nichols, USN, MNF-I, Baghdad

Below is a letter that was sent to Sen. Reid after his comment that the war in Iraq was lost. I cannot add a thing to it.

The following letter was written by Lt. Jason Nichols, a Naval officer who is currently serving in Baghdad. He is also the head of Appeal for Courage, a group of American active duty and reserve service personnel who are appealing to Congress to stay and finish the war.

...To be brief, your words are killing us. Your statements make the Iraqis afraid to help us for fear we’ll leave them unprotected in the future. They don’t report a cache, and its weapons blow up my friends in a convoy. They don’t report a foreign fighter, and that fighter sends a mortar onto my base. Stop the politics at the waters edge. We are at war

To whom it may concern,

First allow me to acknowledge that I know none of you politicians give a damn. I get it. However I am going to make my plea and my case here. In this fashion, the rest of us are able to voice our opinions.

Since before this war began, I am referring to the whole war-not just one theatre, you have been calling it a quagmire. I remember when you did so in Afghanistan. You said we could not do what the Communist USSR could not do. I'm glad to see how much faith you have in your own country's ability to defend herself. Not.

Then there were the so-called pre-war protests. Then the anti-Bush protests. Never was there an actual pre-war protest that did not have the interests of our enemies involved with them, and you fell for it. How sad of a human being you are.

Now you are acting like the French. Let me revise that. At least the French are not putting up their white flags this time. How much of a coward can you be to be less than the French?

You have been beating the same drum since your inception. You have not even changed a word. You are so familiar and so stale.

You also know that if you repeat your big lies often enough, people that do not know anything about that topic will start to believe you. Great. You have given Stalin what he never could have gain on his own. Oh, what useless idiots you are!

Now. When our men and women go to war to defend our country, our lives, our way of life; shut up. We have only one commander-in-chief, and you are not he. You have every opportunity you need at your fingertips to speak to him. Do not express your weakness of fear to the enemy. It is not you who will pay the price for your reckless disregard of our troops, but it is you whose hands will be stained with our blood. Al-Jazeera will make sure of that.

I do not know why we are not following the Constitution and throwing you in prison for treason. It very well could be due to the idiot AG who is giving his testimony today about how much he does not know. What a terrible shame.

Why do you tell the media not to show our successes? Why do you not allow us to participate in this war? Why do you continue to give our secrets to the New York Times? Why are they not in prison for aiding and abetting our enemies?

Just a few questions the AMERICAN PEOPLE are asking. Oh, I know you have the big mouths. I know they get most of the attention. That is because you agree with them, and you are using them as a surrogate.

A word to wise, if there are any to be found, in the Democrat party. (Republican Party, too.) You did not win this election based on anything for which you ran. Many of us did not bother fighting for either party because we are AMERICANS, and we want you to start acting like it as well. We want this politicizing the Global War on Terrorism stopped. Now.

From Farid Ghadry's Lips to Pelosi's Ears

I found this article yesterday at Little Green Footballs, and I had to read the rest of it. It is quite astonishing how ignorant many people are, including myself sometimes. Please read the whole article:

As a Muslim, I fully understand respect of our religion by visiting US officials and I applaud that respect. Had Speaker Pelosi worn the Hijab inside a Mosque, this would have indicated respect but for Pelosi to wear it on the streets of Damascus all the while she is sitting with the self-imposed Baschar al-Assad who has come to symbolize oppression and one of the reasons why women are forced to wear the Hijab as they turn to religion to express their freedom is a statement of submittal not only to oppression but also to lack of women's rights in the Middle East. Pelosi just reversed the work of the Syrian civil society and those who aspire for women's freedom in the Muslim countries many years back with her visual statement. Her lack of experience of the Middle East is showing.

Assad could not have been happier because Syrian women, seeing a US official confirming what their husbands, the Imams in the Mosques tell them, and the society at large imposes on them through peer pressure will see in her wearing a Hijab as a confirmation of the societal pressures they are constantly under. No one will ever know how many women took the Hijab on after seeing Pelosi wearing it. [Read the whole letter.]

Indeed. And they claim the mantle for women? Human rights? (Don't forget the genocide in Darfur, North Korea, Iran, etc.) Despicable.

Now let's get serious about Syran and Congress

I came across this article at this article, and everything in this article is so important that I could not decide where to snip it and what to use. I hope they do not mind if I reprint the entire article. The title of this article is, "Why Are American Officials Meeting With Terrorists' Supporters?" and it is written by Andrew Cochran.

He has made some very good and strong points, as usual. Please read the entire article. To visit their site (there are many at this site), the name of the site is CounterTerrorism Blog.

The internet sites and cable TV shows are buzzing about the visit by U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Syria today. She's not the only Member of Congress meeting with the Assad regime - three Republican Congressmen, including the normally sensible and reliable Rep. Frank Wolf of Virginia, also met with Assad this week against the express wishes of the Bush Administration. Do the four of them remember that they voted for the Syria Accountability and Lebanese Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2003? The "Findings" in that Act include: "Terrorist groups, including Hizballah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine--General Command, maintain offices, training camps, and other facilities on Syrian territory, and operate in areas of Lebanon occupied by the Syrian armed forces and receive supplies from Iran through Syria." and "The Government of Syria is pursuing the development and production of biological and chemical weapons and has a nuclear research and development program that is cause for concern." Did Speaker Pelosi, second in line to succeed to the office of President of the United States, forget what she said on October 15, 2003, when she supported the Act? "The people of Israel and the cause of peace in the Middle East have been the traditional targets of the groups helped by Syria, but today’s attack on the U.S. convoy in Gaza is a reminder that the United States, and our interests around the world, are foremost on terrorist target lists." What possible good could come out of meeting with Syria and why send the unmistakable signal that the Act was a mistake? I called three of the Congresspersons' offices to ask for an explanation and received no response.

But there's no need to limit this criticism to just Congress. One top Bush Administration official, DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff, invited Dr. Yahya Basha to set up a dinner with Muslim Americans in Detroit in February. Does Secretary Chertoff know or care about Dr. Basha's past and that of the organizations with which he has associated for years? Dr. Basha is a board member of the Muslim Public Affairs Council in Los Angeles and was the president of the American Muslim Council, two groups with a long history of associations with terrorists and their supporters. For instance, the AMC is now defunct because its founder and chairman, Abdurahman Alamoudi, was convicted for plotting to kill the Saudi Crown Prince. According to the Treasury Department, Alamoudi had "a close relationship with al Qaida and had raised money for al Qaida in the United States." Basha personally refused to support the Afghanistan campaign to remove the Taliban and Al Qaeda after the 9-11 attacks.

MPAC's "senior adviser," Maher Hathout (also president of the Islamic Center of Southern California), called Israel "the apartheid brutal state" and a nation of "butchers," and accused the United States of committing state terrorism. He also raised funds to defend a convicted cop-killer, the militant formerly known as H. Rap Brown. On March 12 of last year, Hathout spoke at a fundraiser for Sami al-Arian, who ran Palestinian Islamic Jihad from his offices at the University of South Florida and was ultimately convicted of funding PIJ. MPAC consistently criticized the Treasury Department and the Bush Administration for freezing the assets of the charities in the U.S. used to funnel money to the terrorists.

The dinner raises serious questions whether the Secretary of Homeland Security has any idea against whom we should set up our homeland security.

An alternate view on the war and legislation

I have a copy for you of what I retrieved from the Thomas guide. I copied it because everytime I've tried to link to it in the past, it did not work. Grr. The words I used were: no cutting off funding for the troops. If you would like to do the same search. Also, you will get 0 (zero) for exact match, etc. Go to the last one that has 1000 bills containing one or more of your search words.

I was listening to the radio when I received this information. Apparently this bill has been tabled to be put on the calendar at a later date. I don't know where Mark Levin got the 82 votes from...maybe another vote? (My fault. Sorry.) Rep Mike Pence also has a bill that has gone to the Congressional House Committee on Armed Services. The number is H.CON.RES.64.

Congress has voted against us

Actions speak louder words, dear Congress members. You can say you support the troops, but I do not believe you. In the middle of a war, you do not fight the president as your enemy. You do not micromanage the war. This is for the Generals on the ground who actually know what is happening.

The most depressing --- and disturbing -- spectacle of this morning's House debates on the Democrats proposed resolution opposing the surge was the sight of a handful of Republican Representatives rising to speak in favor of the resolution.

We've made a point here at The Victory Caucus to highlight those leaders who are standing firm on the war and who are committed victory: men like Senator Jim DeMint and Representative John Carter.

Now, however, is time to focus on those of our leaders who are chosing what they perceive (wrongly) to be the politically expedient course instead of what they must know is the right course. The reality of the mathematics in the House is grim: it is highly likely, if not certain, that the Democrats have sufficient votes to ensure that their resolution passes.

Our goal, then, is to minimze its margin of passage: and in particular, to convince those who should know better --- our Republican members of Congress -- to do the right thing.

I would therefore ask each of you to contact your own Representative, and ask their staff to go on-the-record stating that they will oppose the Democrats' resolution. If they refuse, ask why, and express your disappointment in their decision. (You can find your Representative's web page and contact information here .)

Once you have an answer --- and only a definitive, on-the-record "yes we will vote against the resolution" will do -- post the results of your conversation on this forum thread (you must be signed up to do so, so sign-up!). We'll be collecting all the answers, and building up an organized list of those Republicans who are standing firm --- and those who need further encouragment to do what is right.

Beyond your own Representative, I would also encourage you to contact all of the Representatives below. These are some of the Republican Representatives who rose today to speak against the troop surge and in favor of the Democrats' resolution. Call them; fax them; email them, and make clear that to oppose the President's plan to win this war before it has even been given an opportunity to succeed is simply unacceptable.

In addition, I would urge you to be polite, hold your temper-yelling does not work, and be concise. Many people only have 30 seconds to say what they called for so make sure you say the most important statement first. Time is valuable to all of us, so maybe you could write down and rehearse exactly what it is you really want to say before actually calling. That is for those of you who are calling for the first time or others who get carried away. Remember, you are representing us, the Americans. Make us proud. :)

Are you angry about the Senate's non-binding resolutions?

Here is an e-mail I received today. I am going to follow through. Will you be with me or with the enemy? They want to let Gen. Petraeus walk into a war zone after an 81-0 vote of confirmation and confidence, and they want to micromanage the war. This is unconstitutional. Our Founders knew this. That is why we only have ONE Commander-in-Chief, not 536! Please join us to prevent ANY non-binding resolution or binding for that matter from receiving cloture. Read this e-mail:

Today and tomorrow will be decisive days in the Senate debate over the Biden/Warner/McCain resolutions. We believe the Senate GOP should refuse cloture on all resolutions, and thus at least provide victory Republicans with clarity as to who deserves their support in the Senate. Please contact the nine Senators below and urge them to oppose all resolutions, and to refuse to vote for cloture (which requires 60 votes) and to aggressively defend the war and the reinforcements in the debate this week. Nine phone calls, nine faxes and nine e-mails may take an hour or two, but we believe that victory in Iraq deserves that effort and much much more.
