Urgent Request

I have just found out that a couple of days ago a very good friend of mine was hospitalized and had triple by-pass surgery on his heart. I am begging for everyone who reads this to please pray for John Darby's speedy recovery. This means I expect him to recover.

Dear Heavenly Father,

You are the Supreme Doctor. You can hear our prayers, and You can Heal anyone of anything. Please hear my petition for John Darby. God, I know I've been away far too long, but please do not punish John for my sins. Please Heal him, Lord. Hear our prayers. I love you, Lord. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.

Too tired

My sleep hours have gotten so messed up as of late. I've been under some stress which I'd rather not get into, and I've been getting to sleep around 12 o'clock. That isn't late? THE NEXT DAY? lol. Yeah. I wake up around 3pm, and I've been falling asleep at the computer.

That is one the excuses I have for the past few posts. I do have some really great news, however. Jack Idema is free, he is on American soil, and he thanks everyone who helped to get out his story of injustice. Thank God!

I will be back. I just need to get some rest. I know, I know. Go to sleep, blah, blah, blah. But you had to be there. lol.

Please pray for Danny Boy

A friend of mine is in need of some heavy duty prayer. His wife, their two children and he is facing a very hard time of things. He homeschools his children while his wife works outside of the house. Both of their children are ill. They have several doctor's appointments in the near future, and they are still paying for an operation Danny had last year.

This is not a post requesting for money, although if you feel so inclined please help. This is just some background. Now comes the trouble. His wife had been harassed at work, and she was fired when she explained to her boss that she is happily married, he fired her.

They are now looking for a lawyer (they found one late this afternoon). The way I understand it is that she has to go through arbitration with her peers as the jury and her boss as the judge! I recommended to him to get a labor lawyer (even though he was already thinking about getting one).

So what does he want from us? Support. Spiritual support, stop by his site and leave some encouraging words, and whatever you may think may help. He is a whiz with computers so if you know anyone who needs some work done, please contact him to see if it is in his realm of abilities. He is very good at making banners and tinkering with templates.

But most importantly of all, it took being a big man to reach out and ask for help. He has, and I am responding. I pray that you will, too. Thank you, and God bless you all.

Visiting the Smiles of Orphans in the Horn of Africa

Here is another article about an orphanage in the Horn of Africa. I just love these, because it touches my heart to read about the love from American Soldiers for the littlest of His. The title of this article is, "Joint Task Force Showers Orphans With Supplies and Smiles." Our troops certainly do love those smiles. Have a nice day.

This first story is one that really touched my heart. You guys rock!

CJTF-HOA members donate time, supplies and compassion to orphanage.

DJIBOUTI CITY, Djibouti – Nestled in a remote and unassuming part of the city, a local Djibouti City orphanage awaits the arrival of members from Camp Lemonier. The children who live at the orphanage are in need of supplies, donations, and most important of all…love and affection.

Prior to the group’s departure from the base chapel, the seven volunteers made up of U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Marines, made last-minute preparations for their trip to the orphanage by loading up supplies. The supplies were donated by both camp members and from a Marine master sergeant’s hometown friends who organized a donation drive to provide the children with gifts of goodwill and compassion. Next we have a successful story of a province by the name of Maysan, albeit it does not come without setbacks and hardships.

Security authority for Maysan province was recently transferred to provincial Iraqi government. The province was the fourth to do this, and marks a milestone of 75 percent of Southeast Iraq as being transferred to provincial Iraqi control. The province had previously been under the authority of the U.K. military.

The Maysan Provincial Reconstruction Team has worked behind the scenes in all this. Not only do they work closely with Maysan officials to create and strengthen transparent and accountable government institutions, but they also advise Iraqis on promoting development in the political and economic areas, and work to help improve essential services. Dhi Qar PRT successes showing through.

Security authority for Dhi Qar has been under Provincial Iraqi Control for almost six months now, and many successes in the province are starting to show through.

The Iraqis who live in Dhi Qar province are now finding opportunities they never had under Saddam. The Provincial Reconstruction Team, which was set up last year, has been acting as advisers to the Iraqis, helping them determine which steps will best suit them to get Iraq to stand up on its own. To accomplish that goal, the PRT has been working with many different groups in the area, from U.S. and Coalition military to foreign civilian and Iraqi nationals. [Continue reading.]

This province has been in control of themselves ever since July 2006! Wait a minute. I thought they were not standing up? Yeah, maybe those 'reporters' ought to go out there and REPORT!

Muthanna PRT under Iraqi control.

...Muthanna became the first Iraqi province to take the lead on governing its own province. This step allowed the provincial police and Iraqi Army to be the first responders’ to any crisis in the province. In Mind and Body, N. Koreans Still Suffer After Defection

News from Radio Free Asia.

SEOUL — Even those lucky defectors who survive famine, violence, and criminal gangs to escape North Korea suffer from extremely poor mental and physical health long after resettling in affluent South Korea, a new survey has shown.

The survey by a research team from Seoul National University comprised more than 200 participants. It found that many defectors suffer severe mental health problems, largely as a result of overwhelming anxiety about loved ones they left behind.

Still Ill

This morning I was feeling better...until I had a TIA. Transient Iscemic Attack. Funny how we learn to spell things, eh? LOL.

A TIA is a mini-stroke, but do NOT worry. I just lay down, and go to sleep. If I go to the hospital, I will be awaken, they won't be able to do anything for me, and I can be a real bitch when I'm mad or ill. Put them together? YIKES! :)

I pray everyone is well. (I think I may be going through MENopause, chuckle.) I have to go lay back down now.

My latest migraine

It came upon me like a ton of bricks. From out of nowhere, BAM! I was taken down. One thing that I have learned is that I can neither cry out, nor am I able to scream for help. I have a whistle for emergencies, but OMG! I had to cover my ears to get out a really lame whistle. lol.

I have decided to do my screaming and moaning here, if you do not mind.

I don't know if that's what it actually sounds like inside my head, but I tried. It's better than trying to do this within my body! Well, I hope you all have a wonderful day, and I am feeling a lot better. I only have a blinding pain in my head now. lol. Yeah, that is a whole lot better, so you can only imagine what it felt like before! :)

Eritrea bans female circumcision!

This is one of the most horrific traditions that has been passed down through many generations, maybe even milenia. This is one of the best surprises of which I could have awakened.
