First I would like to explain that I do give the link to the articles, but it is rather frustrating when you look for an article that is no longer there. That is why I have created another link, Love America First-2, so that if you cannot find the article, it may very well be located over there. If they don't want the public to read their material, they shouldn't print it! That's that.

Let's get to North Korea's desire to speak with President Bush one-on-one. Isn't this remarkable? NO! He has been crying for this ever since our president came into office. It is quite humorous the way it is covered in the news, however.

NK wants direct military talks with U.S.

SEOUL, South Korea (Reuters) - North Korea called on Friday for military talks with the United States for peace and security on the peninsula, with Washington saying it can discuss a peace treaty after Pyongyang abandons its nuclear program.

Do you notice how they treat this communist dictator with respect? Sounds very inviting, right?

Six-way talks on ending North Korea's nuclear arms programs are set to resume on Wednesday in Beijing. The North, which has long sought direct talks with the United States, usually holds bilateral meetings with U.S. officials within those discussions

Sounds like President Bush is the bad guy in this matter! Remind me, who's building the nuclear weapons?

Now we will discuss the dishonesty of the reporting on Darfur, Sudan, along with the situation in Africa.

U.S. envoy says Sudan bombing civilians in Darfur.

KHARTOUM, Sudan (Reuters) -- The top U.S. envoy for Darfur on Friday accused the Sudanese government of bombing civilian targets in its war-ravaged western region and rebels of cynically obstructing international efforts to end the conflict.

Bashir always denies any attacks he authorizes. He does authorize them, because the janjaweed does not do anything without his instructions.

International experts estimate 200,000 [It has been 400,000 for 2 years now!] people have died as a result of ethnic[, religious] and political conflict in Darfur since it flared in 2003 when mostly non-Arab rebels took up arms after accusing the central government of neglect. [LIE! It was the Arab janjaweed that was raping, pillaging, murdering, flash burning the land, and committing genocide that started the war.] Washington calls the violence genocide, and blames the government and its allied militia. Khartoum rejects the term and says only 9,000 have died.

I guess you've noticed that I could not restrain myself. Reuters is one of the worst newspapers in the whole world. It ranks right up there with al Jazeera!

What a lot of people do not understand is that is both Kartoum and Darfur have mostly Muslim people living there. The difference? The people in Kartoum are Arab, the people in Darfur are native and black. They are fighting against Sharia law and genocide. Wouldn't you?

These people truly need help, and we may be the only ones in the world that can help them. Our so called leaders would have to change the ROE (rules of engagement). Al Qaida is hiding in the mountains where over 2 million people had to flee their homes as the terrorists moved in to OCCUPY the place. They have many training camps up there, but why talk about that? That isn't news. Oh no. We're not at war. Ya think?!

BTW, I checked. All of the reporters copy/pasted the Reuters article for the Darfur article. Gee, I could do that, and I did not need to go to college to figure out how!

It is about time someone else besides President Bush started pushing Bashir in Sudan and the EU to allow the AU-UN peacekeepers to take control. Sudan was not invited to the one-day Paris conference, organized by a new French government that has made the four-year conflict in Darfur a top priority. I have been waiting for many years to hear this news, and they still have not convicted Charles Taylor, ex-President of Liberia. Does anyone remember how long it took for them convict Milosevic? That's right. They never did. He died after 4 years - at least - of waiting for them to convict him or let him go. (And they have a problem with Gitmo? HA!)

FREETOWN, Sierra Leone (AP) -- A U.N.-backed court trying those accused of bearing greatest responsibility for the brutality of Sierra Leone's civil war issued its first verdicts Wednesday, convicting three former leaders of a junta that had terrorized the country during a brief reign.

The court found the three defendants guilty of 11 of 14 charges, including terrorism, using child soldiers, enslavement, rape and murder. [Continue reading.]

The crimes they were NOT convicted of were the crimes against the children. There were no sexually charged crimes that these scums were convicted of for having committed.

I have mixed feelings about this. I'm very glad these terrorists were FINALLY convicted. This lets the other people know that when you enslave children and force them to take up arms, you will be found guilty of war crimes. (Except in the Middle East, I suppose.) This trial has set that precedent. On the other hand, if you only rape these children, then what? That doesn't matter? That is very disheartening.

Charles Taylor's trial began in the ICC (International Criminal Court) a month ago. I guess we have at least 10 years before we get a verdict out of there. That is, if he lives that long...

GENEVA, Switzerland (Reuters) -- The United Nations' human rights chief on Friday said recent air raids by Sudanese forces on at least five Darfur villages appeared to be "indiscriminate and disproportionate", and violated international law.

The attacks between April 19 and 29 have already been condemned by U.S. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, although Khartoum says they never took place.

Good news from Liberia

The UN voted yesterday, April 27, 2007, to take the label of 'blood diamonds' off the Liberian people and government. This is a very good sign that the country is doing much better since they were rescued by the USA in 2003.

Blood diamonds are diamonds that are mined by children and slaves. They are usually beaten, ill treated, and stolen from their families. It is a ruthless practice, and that is why I do not wear diamonds.

You may notice some of the same people fighting for the saving of Darfur wearing diamonds. If they tell you that they know for a fact that their diamonds are not 'blood diamonds', tell them they are liars. There is no way to tell. Especially since some of the countries that are allowed to sell diamonds use these blood diamonds! Liberia will not. This is step forward for everyone.

The World Bank fiasco, or is there one?

I have not been following this World Bank problem, because I was upset that Mr. Wolfowitz would allow himself to get tangled with corruption. That's what I get for listening to the dinosaur media. Shame on me!

I was just reading the Opinion Journal and I must admit, I am pleasantly surprised.

Sub-Saharan Africa is the world's poorest region, and Mr. Wolfowitz has appropriately made it his top priority. On his first day on the job, he met with a large group of African ambassadors and advocates. His first trip as bank president was a swing through Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Rwanda and South Africa. He also recruited two African-born women vice presidents, a rarity at the bank.

If you're surprised by that last fact, then you don't appreciate that the World Bank has always been a sinecure for developed-world politicians. They get handsome salaries, tax free, and their performance is measured not by how much poverty they cure but by how much money they disperse. [Continue reading.]

Calls to use Beijing Games to pressure China on Sudan.
BEIJING, China (AP) -- China on Thursday blasted separate calls by a French politician and a Hollywood actress to use the upcoming 2008 Olympic Games to pressure Beijing into doing more to stop the crisis in Sudan's Darfur region.

Top officials: U.S. to impose Sudan sanctions soon.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- The United States will impose tough new measures against Sudan, likely within days, to try to force it to change course on Darfur and aims to pressure Khartoum militarily by helping rebuild forces in the south, U.S. officials said.

State Department, Defense, Treasury and other U.S. officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the goal was to "tighten the screws" on President Omar Hassan al-Bashir and have him accept an international force in the vast western province.

Five African Union peacekeepers killed in Darfur.
KHARTOUM, Sudan (Reuters) -- Unidentified gunmen killed five African Union peacekeepers in the Darfur region of western Sudan, the deadliest single attack against the force since late 2004, an AU spokesman said Monday.

The five were guarding a water point near the Sudanese border with Chad when they came under fire Sunday, Noureddine Mezni said. Four soldiers were killed in the shooting, and the fifth died of his wounds Monday morning.

HOA: Ethiopia and Somalia are at it again

It started last Wednesday when the Islamofascists residing in the southern areas of Somalia started openly threatening war again against the interim government.

Loudspeakers on Thursday transmitted calls for residents to come out and fight the Ethiopian troops backing Somalia's interim government, after the Ethiopians launched a heavy offensive in tanks and helicopters. [Read the whole article.]

There is an article by the name of "Soldiers bar U.N. official from Darfur refugee camp. In this article, they discuss the fact that al-Bashir, president of Sudan, refuses to allow the UN Inspector into Darfur to check out complaints of more genocide.

Now that they have refused them entry, there comes another article about China, Russia; Arab, Muslim states object to Darfur report. They claim that since they did not actually witness the genocide, therefore the report is unfair.

I have an idea. Why don't we start torturing every prisoner at Gitmo and refuse everyone entrance? Why don't we bomb Mecca? We could always say it was not us.

Ah, but there is quite a difference between them and us, and that difference is the reason why it is time to close down the UN. They can longer serve their original purpose: PREVENT/STOP GENOCIDE. We do NOT do these things because we are civilized.

I am afraid we have become SO civilized that we have forgotten how to fight...

MONROVIA, Liberia (Reuters) -- Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf accepted the resignation of her chief of staff, Willie Knuckles, after he was photographed having sex with two women, tarnishing a government campaign for moral probity.

Johnson-Sirleaf, a longtime campaigner for women's rights, said Knuckles had not broken the law but the scandal threatened to derail efforts to combat sexual abuse and raise standards in Liberia's public life after a brutal 1989-2003 civil war.

MONROVIA, Liberia (AP) -- The former president has been charged with stealing more than $1 million from Liberia's coffers while in office, government officials said Wednesday.

Gyude Bryant, who led the interim government from October 2003 until current President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf took office in January 2006, had previously been accused of embezzlement in a report issued by the Economic Community of West African States.

This could have something to do with the government officials whose son was stopped at the border while returning from Iran. Syria is not doing anything uncommon. It amazes me how so many people are surprised when they find them to be bad actors, including the USA. Darfur's tragedy spills into Central African Republic. This is an article that will make you angry and sad at the same time. I do not understand how anyone can stand by, watch this fall apart, and then declare that it has nothing to do with anything. But that is just what happened here. Darfur rebels look to unify. There are over 100 'rebel' commanders gathered trying to find a way to unify themselves so that the people in the Darfur region of Sudan could be better served. It's amazing, isn't it? In Africa, you are called a 'rebel' if you fight against the taking over of the Islamists, but if you are in the ME? You are known as an 'insurgent', even though you are on foreign land! Amazing. If that link no longer is available, try this one.

Chad may consider U.N. police to protect Darfur refugees. There is much uneasiness in the so-called deal made with North Korea. There are no set timetables, and many of the six-party talks have their own agendas. "The 400 migrants stranded off the West African coast for 10 days as the governments of two countries argued over their fate continued their wait on land and in the air Tuesday." Liberians in U.S. finding way home

Since Charles Taylor was forced to leave Liberia in 2003, this sister country to the USA has been having small successes while trying to recover from decades of war. Here is just two of the amazing people with their own stories about finding their way back home.

Ciata Victor and Henrique Caine are doing this in their own way, but they have both returned home. Only Henrique has kept his home in the States with his wife and children, while Ciata sold her condo, gave up her high paying job and moved home.

They are both entrepeneurs. Ciata has started her own Internet Cafe, and Henrique is still working on starting up a construction equipment rental company.
