Whirlpool plays dirty

I really am getting angry about the way they are treating my friends, Mr. Danny and Mrs. Linda. I was just over at his site to get Linda's URL (I can't find it, I misplaced it), and I saw this. I thought I was angry before!

Please be patient with me. I do not like it when good people are taken advantage of, nor do I like it when anyone is in that situation. This is a very bad situation, and it needs to be told. Whirlpool, you want to treat people like machines to tossed out when they no longer serve your purpose or cause you discomfort? You are going to pay for what you have done. I will see to this! If I have to post everyday from now 'til hell freezes over...
The short version (emergency appeal to bloggers).

My wife an attractive 40-year-old was fired from her job, based solely on the accusation from her 50-year-old supervisor that she had sexually harassed him. This supervisor had already made an inappropriate comment toward my wife, and has before had an affair with a married woman under his authority. Because sexual harassment is considered "gross misconduct" our health insurance was terminated immediately. We, however, were not informed of this until today, two weeks later, when we called to arrange for COBRA payments. We have two children with a rare congenital condition which requires frequent doctor visits and daily medication. because of their condition, one of us had to stay home. Linda got the insurance, so I became Mr. Mom. This can be a very serious condition, Our little girl had to be rushed to the emergency room just three weeks ago, simply from wearing herself out on a sleepover at a friend's house.

We are making an appeal to raise funds to cover medical expenses for our children until we can either resolve this, or find insurance, and with serious pre-existing conditions, that won't be easy. We've already had to miss labs requested by their pediatric endocrinologist because of uncertainty about our health insurance. At the top of the page, in the sidebar is a donation button where you can assist via PayPal. [Please continue reading.]

We must overcome this injustice. This is outrageous. How far back is NOW willing to let women fall just because they hate President Bush? Whirlpool would never have behaved in this manner, I do believe, if NOW had been active defending women instead of bashing men...

It is no wonder the Americans hate lawyers

Fitzgeralt has introduced, finally, a reason to double Scooter Libby's prison term. The Espionage Act and the Intelligence Identities Protection Act at his sentencing. The problem? All throughout the trial, he claimed there was no connection, nor was there any evidence of a connection.

It is like going to trial for shoplifting and getting sentenced for rape. Does this make sense to you?

Next week Mr. Libby will face the judge again. Once again, he will find out if he is going to be sentenced for sculpatory evidence he sought from Fitzy only to be told it was not relevent. It did not have any bearing on this case. Hmm. Read here, and make up your own mind.

We're not a land of 'immigrants', we're AMERICANS

I am getting so tired of being referred to as an immigrant. I am 1/2 Mohawk and 1/2 Armenian. I know absolutely NO Armenian. For that matter, I know absolutely no Mohigan either. I am still proud to be what I am. It is nice to know where I came from, but to that extent is all I am? NO!

I am a true-blue blooded American. When the census comes around and they ask me for my race, I put down 'other' and write in, "American."

We are tearing ourselves apart with this multiculturism. How can be 'united' when we do not share the same history, the same language, the same memories, the same heroes, the same holidays, the same philosophies, the same attitudes toward Capitalism and the same goals?

Of course they are each individual. Of course they can be viewed in different hues. But how can they viewed at all when we do not communicate WITH each other instead of AT each other? We are talking past one another, and we cannot solve anything this way.

If you want to discuss illegal aliens, why don't you try looking at it through the lenses of an American? Oh, you are American? Okay, then why do you want to live in a country without Sovereignty?

Do you realize this is only another way to enslave people with government approval? You don't think so? Then you, my friend, have no idea what is really happening in the illegal alien trade. These people are brought here by businesses who pay them maybe a dollar per day or per hour if they're lucky. Some only get paid by what they produce.

This is not to mention the women whom are brought here as sex slaves. They will kill you if you try to escape. What do I mean, 'women.' I meant, 'girls.' If you ever have your daughter stolen, she may just be someone's sex slave who makes lots of money for him. So don't worry about, right?

What are their safety procedures? Forget it. There are none. Can they leave if they like? You are really pulling my string, right? They do not have anything that resembles human rights, with the blessing of our government as it stands.

So what should we do? ENFORCE THE LAWS. We already have laws against slavery. We already have laws against hiring illegal aliens. We already have laws about being in this country illegally. What in God's name is so hard about that?

Rule of Law to Reign Supreme for Victory in Iraq

There is a fabulous article about the path to victory that I believe everyone should read. There are three positions of contention that need to be given special attention to if we desire to see Iraq survive as a civillized nation.

The first is the judical system. When Saddam was in charge, everyone knew the verdict before they went before the court. That is no longer the case. Now when people go to court, the rule of law shall be applied fairly to each person, no matter their standing.

Secondly, the prisons need to be integrated into a place where there is no torture, no abuse, etc. These places shall be integral in the success for a trusted judical system.

Thirdly, the police need to make the Iraqi people feel as though they can trust these guys. They used to be feared, so it will take some time and effort to have this come about. These are the three legs upon which victory actually stands.

Does the military play a part? Definitely! We must keep Iraq as stable as possible for the Iraqi people to start trusting their own police and judicial system again, if not for the first time. How long will this take? I do not know. Why don't you tell me when we leave Germany, Japan, South Korea, Bosnia and Kosovo...
