Good News from Columbia

President Alvaro Uribe of Columbia has been having some success and some setbacks with Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Farc). FARC is a terrorist organization in the southern area of the country. They have been at war for over 40 years. There was a peace process that fell apart in February 2002.

FARC has murdered 25 of Columbia's Military men on Friday. They have been sneaking across the border to Ecuador to buy weapons. President Alvaro has planned an all out attack on the group. President Alvaro sent 1000 Soldiers backed by helicopter gunships to stop several hundreds of the FARC group. You may read about this article here.
