Overcharged and Underinspected

While many have been focusing on the Oil for Food program deficit, we have not been looking at the actual inspectors nor their paychecks. Aparently, $19 Billion dollars was paid to inspectors who did not show up for work, seldom came to the country, and the ones that did-did not have a clear objective because Sevan would not return any of their questions. Sevan is Kofi Annan's son.

He has not held a weekly meeting between 2001-2003, except once. Claudia Rosett and George Russell have written a wonderful article covering this story.
