This is a testiment to the fact that we do NOT live in a Democracy, but a Republic. Article 4 even declares that each state is guaranteed a Republican form of government. This does not, however, mean the Republican Party. It means representative government, not socialism, communism, fascism, totalitarianism, or any other of -ism save capitalism.

This is very wise. You should not say you love a person you just met, because you do not know them. Therefore, be it so that every child learn the true cost and meaning of Liberty and from whence our Laws have been given.
